Dr. Moran was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky. He is the son of two devout, loving parents who never missed a ballgame and taught him the value of respect, community and a fervent love for mankind. He is the blessed brother of a creative, driven and talented young woman. He spent his early years working on his grandfather's farm. It was there that he learned the value of a hard day's work. Some of his fondest memories are of hunting and horseback riding trips with his father and grandfather.
His exposure to medicine as a career began at an early age as his mother was in a leadership position at the community hospital. He attended college at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He attended medical school at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky, and returned home to complete the majority of his third and fourth year rotations serving his community and learning from life long mentors. He completed a Traditional Rotating Internship at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City before coming to Texas where he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Plaza Medical Center in Ft. Worth.
He is engaged to be married to his warm, compassionate and intelligent fiance from Granbury, Texas. In doing so he will also gain a bright, confident and witty 7 year old boy. They have quickly taught him that the Texas Rangers are the only baseball team that matters. His only regret is not moving to Texas more quickly to find them. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, woodworking, cooking and attending ballgames and church with his young family.
Dr. Moran believes medications are not the only remedy for illness. He believes in a team approach in which specialists, dieticians, social workers, family and community must work together with you to achieve true health and wellness. He wants you to understand your disease process and to equip you with all of the tools you need to improve your health.
