Melanie Gray, DO is a reliable and compassionate family physician who treats patients of all ages for acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. She always takes a personal approach to patient care and strives to develop long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. Her interests include preventative care, women’s health, adolescent medicine and a sub-specialty in performing arts dance medicine. She is trained in osteopathic manipulative therapy, concussion management, musculoskeletal ultrasound and minor clinic procedures.
She finished her undergraduate degree in Biology from University of North Texas in Denton, Tx, then went to medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO. Her family medicine internship and residency was completed here in Fort Worth, Tx through the UNTHSC-Plaza Medical Center.
She was born and raised near Seattle, Washington, but is a proud Texan calls New and Newth Texas home. Her first career was as a professional ballet dancer and still take weekly classes to keep up with her skills and passion for the arts. She always planned to give back to her amazing community of performing artists through providing them excellent medical care alongside her wonderful family medicine patients. It has led her to follow the osteopathic medicine philosophy of patient care in that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself, she treats the body as a whole and she believes the body, mind and spirit are interconnected.
Outside of medicine she values spending time with her Texan husband and her two children, family and friends. You will find her at live theater and sporting events, exercising, working on photo albums, taking ski trips in Colorado during the winter and visiting the Puget Sound in the summer.
