Victoria is a certified Physician Assistant and is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas. She was born and raised in Denton, Texas where she received a scholarship to attend the University of North Texas in her hometown. She graduated magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She discovered her calling for medicine during her senior year of college while volunteering at a local hospital.
Victoria began working in patient care in the ER while completing her medical prerequisites. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research Management, from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, Texas. During which, she assisted in a clinical research trial involving family health history in the primary care setting. This experience sparked her interest in primary care, the heredity of health, and the utilization of family history in preventative medicine. She received the commendation of ‘Distinction’ for her Master Thesis over this topic.
Victoria earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from UNTHSC, one of the top 35 physician assistant programs in the Nation according to US News and World Report. Her faculty nominated her to serve as Student Ambassador of her class, giving her the privilege to formally represent her PA program; she interacted with youth and mentored students aspiring to become a Physician Assistant. During her time as a graduate student, Victoria also volunteered at a local hospice center offering caregiver respite and bereavement, which provided her with insight into the end of life issues and the difficulties faced by patients and their families.
Victoria is passionate about preventative health and enjoys working with her patients to develop individualized care plans to fit their unique health needs and goals. She believes in empowering her patients with the tools to take charge of their own health through education and simplification. She is particularly interested in women's health, mental health, urgent care, brain injury, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and weight loss.
During her time off, Victoria enjoys volunteering, traveling, hiking State and National Parks, exercising, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and her pack of rescue dogs.
